Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Advanced Industries Company (SAIC) generated net profits amounting to SAR 7.47 million for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, marking a significant recovery from the SAR 115.39 million loss recorded during the same period in the previous year.
The company’s quarterly revenue reached SAR 15.82 million, compared to a negative revenue figure of SAR 106.32 million in the prior-year quarter.
The company attributed the return to profitability to an increase in its share of profits from associate companies, higher dividend income, and unrealized gains from financial assets at fair value.
These gains were supported by a reduction in general and administrative expenses and lower financing costs, which offset an increase in estimated Zakat charges.
For the first half (H1) of 2026, the company achieved a net profit of SAR 14.90 million, compared to a net loss of SAR 110.14 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Total revenue for the half-year period stood at SAR 31.02 million. Earnings per share (EPS) improved to SAR 0.25, up from a loss per share of SAR 1.87 a year earlier.
Total shareholders' equity was reported at SAR 1.02 billion, representing a 3.30% change from SAR 1.05 billion.
SAIC logged net profits attributable to the owners valued at SAR 7.43 million in Q1-26, an annual hike of 41.52% from SAR 5.25 million.
